Stefano Rivetti di Val Cervo graduated in Physics in 2001, attained Specialization in Medical Physics in 2005 and begun PhD in Physics in 2007.
Since 2000 is involved in projects concerning diagnostic imaging specifically in the field of digital mammography and digital radiography. From 2000 to 2002 he has participated to the preliminary project of a dual energy angiographic system (DESR). From 2002 to 2005 he has taken a specialisation apprenticeship at the "Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria Policlinico di Modena" working on assessment and optimization of full field digital mammography units. In 2002 has been granted a scholarship at the "Università di Bologna" aimed at the development of digital radiographic system optimization Since 2003 is a consultant with the "Fuji Medical Systems Italia" for CR radiographic system installation optimization. In 2004 he has been granted a scholarship at Institute for Brain and Neural Systems (Prof. Leon Cooper) of the Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island USA aimed at the development of demenza automatic diagnostic methods through nuclear medicine images. Since 2006 is a consultant as "Specialista in Fisica Medica presso l'AUSL di Modena" for the assessment of quality control procedures and clinical optimization in the field of digital radiography. Since 2006 is lecturer of "Trattamento Digitale dell Immagine in Area Radiologica" for a degree in "Tecnico sanitaria di radiologia medica per immagini e radioterapia" at the Medicine and Surgery faculty of the Bologna University.
He is author of 20 scientific papers on international peer reviewed journals, of numerous papers published on international conference proceedings
