Marco Antonio Coca Perez, graduated on Nuclear Physics from the Higher Institute for the Nuclear Sciences and Technologies of Havana, in 1991. He got the Master degree in Medical Physics in 2007 and is member of the Cuban Physics Society and ALFIM (Latin American Association of Medical Physics).
He has been involved in several projects concerning molecular biology, quality control of Nuclear Medicine (NM) instrumentation, telemedicine on NM , quantification of SPECT and planar images, Monte Carlo simulations applied to Medical Physics and internal radiation dosimetry. He has worked as medical physicist at the Centre for Clinical Research, in Havana, Cuba, related to the internal radiation dosimetry and quality control of the nuclear medicine instrumentation, since 1997. He is author of about 8 scientific papers on international peer reviewed journals.
